The materialization of social relations enables the alteration of natural elements and landscapeproperties, even if they are temporary. This alteration allows the genesis of phenomena suchas the surface urban heat island, which can be measured through remote sensing techniquesand correlated with the local landscape properties, regional climatic conditions and seasonalityof certain socioeconomic activities. This paper aims at analyzing the relations among theintensity of superficial heat islands, the characteristics of the vegetal cover and the seasonallandscape properties in the city of Sinop/MT, in two representative episodes of local climaticcharacteristics and the socioeconomic activities developed in the area (19/01 and 07/09/2018).In order to classify the landscape, satellite images were used, as well as in loco visits. Overall, the found results point to the seasonality of spatialization of the superficial heat island in faceof regional atmospheric conditions and the use of the rural surround.
