"The objective of the present research was to study the relationship among the Burnout Syndrome, the index of perception oflabor stress, abilities to face stress and social support perception patterns in a sample of auxiliary nurses belonging to aprivate clinic in Medellin city. This sample was constituted by 60 female participants, whose ages ranged between 20 and 40years; it was necessary to apply, for this purpose, the following tests: the short version of Maslach inventory about labor weariness, the index of perception of labor stress, the inventory about abilities to face stress and a scale for social support. Inorder to analyze the data, descriptive statistics and the Spearman´s coefficient correlation were used, with alfa levels ofp< 0,01 and p< 0,05. In general terms, the results obtained point out to a low rate of Burnout Syndrome in this sample"
