Temporary cardiac pacing is a life-saving procedure indicated in symptomatic bradyarrhythmias when they are reversible or when a permanent pacemaker cannot be inserted. We report a temporary cardiac pacing clinical case complicated by right ventricular perforation. The tip of the temporary pacing wire passed through the right ventricle wound and extended into the pericardial cavity. The patient was managed surgically and the site of the perforation was sutured. Finally, a dual-chamber pacemaker with epicardial leads was inserted.
