Cet article analyse l’Observatoire des Formes d’Innovation Sociale en Santé, en cours de développement à l’Université de Nîmes, dont l’objectif est d’identifier, cartographier et valoriser les projets innovants socialement dans la santé. L’innovation sociale en santé présente-t-elle des spécificités quand elle se réfère au design ? Cette problématique correspond à une étape initiale où il s’agit de recenser les projets et d’élaborer une grille d’évaluation caractérisant l’innovation sociale par le design. L’objectif de l’article est de proposer une série de critères relatifs à cette grille en construction tout en développant une perspective critique sur la manière dont les projets s’inscrivent dans le champ de l’innovation sociale et s’appuient sur des méthodes issues des SHS.

This article analyzes in a reflexive way the Observatory of the Social Innovation Forms in Health, under development at the University of Nîmes, which seeks to identify, map and value the socially innovative health projects. These projects are diffuse research’s objects as they spread out on fields and with heterogeneous actors. The article aims at answering the following questioning : what are the specificities of the projects coming under the social innovation by design in health ? This problem corresponds to an initial step in the observatory when it is a question of making a list of the projects and developing an evaluation grid of social innovation by design. The objective of the article is to propose a series of criteria relative to this grid under construction while developing a critical perspective on the way the projects join the field of social innovation and lean on methods coming from HSS.
