Résumé 0

"The ultrastructural aspects generated by the interaction betweentwo strains of Aeromonas caviae with mouse intestinalmucosa are described. One of the strains was isolated from anasymptomatic patient and the other one from a patient with diarrhea. Both strains were separately inoculated in closed cylindersof mouse small intestine and the whole preparations wereincubated in Eagle’s culture medium. The intestinal cylinderswere divided into two groups, one was incubated for 24h andthe other for 48h. Samples of the co-cultures were processedfor analysis using high resolution light microscopy and transmissionelectron microscopy. The strain isolated from the asymptomaticpatient showed variable alterations in the intestinalmucosa, according to the different periods of incubation, whereas the one obtained from the patient with diarrhea alwaysproduced severe enteropathogenic effects."
