Interdisciplinary studies between International Relations and the Graphic Arts are still rare, but over the last few decades they have proliferated, particularly since comics ceased to be ‘infantilised’. The main aim of this article is to establish a dialogue between International Relations and the Graphic Arts. Using the theme of the Cold War, the aim is to explore the relationship between the imaginary and reality: a scientific ‘reality’ represented by theories of international relations, and a subjective or imaginary ‘reality’ embodied by comic strip artists. The article therefore focuses on these two ‘realities’ and narratives on the theme of the Cold War, and, by extension, aims to contribute to interdisciplinary dialogues on the study of wars, and more specifically on that of the Cold War.

Les études interdisciplinaires entre les Relations internationales et les Arts graphiques restent rares, mais depuis quelques décennies notamment à partir du moment où la bande dessinée a cessé d'être « infantilisée » celles-ci se sont multipliées. Faire dialoguer les Relations internationales avec les Arts graphiques constitue donc le principal objectif de cet article. Il est donc question de croiser à travers le thème de la guerre froide les rapports entre l'imaginaire et la réalité : une « réalité » scientifique qui est représentée par les théories des relations internationales et de l'autre une « réalité » subjective, ou imaginaire, incarnée par les auteurs de bandes dessinées. L'article se focalise donc sur ces deux « réalités » et narrations sur le thème de la guerre froide, et, par extension, il a pour objectif de contribuer aux dialogues interdisciplinaires sur l'étude des guerres, et plus spécifiquement sur celle de la guerre froide.

Uluslararası İlişkiler ile Güzel Sanatlar arasındaki disiplinlerarası çalışmalar hala nadirdir, ancak son on yılda, özellikle çizgi romanların sadece çocuklara yönelik bir olgu olarak görülmemesinden bu yana, bu çalışmalar çoğalmıştır. Bu makalenin temel amacı Uluslararası İlişkiler ile Güzel Sanatlar, özellikle de çizgi romanlar, arasında bir diyalog kurmaktır. Bu çalışma Soğuk Savaş temasını kullanarak, "öznel" ve "reel" gerçeklikler arasındaki ilişkiye odaklanmayı amaçlamaktadır: uluslararası ilişkiler teorileri tarafından temsil edilen bilimsel bir 'gerçeklik' ve çizgi roman sanatçıları tarafından somutlaştırılan "öznel" veya hayali bir 'gerçeklik'.
