Matheus Viana Braz et al., « Clinical Sociology and Psychosociology: theories and practices », HAL SHS (Sciences de l’Homme et de la Société), ID : 10670/1.b8608e...
Clinical Sociology and Psychosociology are rooted in the epistemology of reception. They are anchored in clinical listening and a complexity perspective, paying close attention to psychic and social determinants (economic, racial, gender-related, among others). These multidisciplinary approaches aim to understand and intervene in reality by acknowledging the interdependence between the social and the psychic. Bringing together researchers from diverse institutions and nationalities, this book seeks to familiarize readers with the theoretical and methodological foundations of these socio-clinical approaches. Through the exploration of various social themes and situations, such as racism, marginalization, labor precarization, and migration, the chapters in this work discuss assumptions, methods, theoretical problematizations, and action-oriented alternatives centered on the socio-clinical perspective. The issues raised aim to open a broad space for dialogue with various disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, particularly psychology, sociology, anthropology, political science, history, and economics.
