Résumé 0

This paper is a summarized presentation of a few problems having to do with the semantics of prepositions, notably the primariness of spatial uses and/or spatiality; the monosemous/polysemous/homonymous nature of prepositions; and the status and role of possible constructions, idioms or “ use types ”. An opposition between what is linked to one particular preposition and other more general uses is more particularly dwelt on, and some notions and a few examples are discussed.
