This article constitutes a preliminary exploration for a research-creation doctoral project in comparative literature, articulating philosophical reflection and artistic practice (drawing, writing) around haunting. We seek to explore the dialectic between dwelling and haunting as modes of existence. The aim is to understand to what extent haunting reveals tensions between identity/alterity, mental space/domestic space, and presence/absence, which are inherent to the act of dwelling and thus to being-there. The labyrinthine dimension of the haunted house reflects the relationship between the fragmentation of the mind and, simultaneously, of space. The Freudian concept of Unheimlich (uncanny) serves as a theoretical prism to reflect on haunting as a shift between the familiar and the strange. The haunted house is approached as a liminal space in order to explore the dialectic between "dark space" and "empty space", from which the trace emerges as a spectral sign.

Cet article constitue une exploration préliminaire pour un projet de thèse recherche-création en littérature comparée, articulant réflexion philosophique et pratique artistique (dessin, écriture) autour de la hantise. Nous cherchons à explorer la dialectique entre habiter et hanter, comme modes d'existence. Il s'agit de comprendre dans quelle mesure la hantise est révélatrice des tensions entre identité/altérités, espace mental/espace domestique et présence/absence, qui sont inhérentes au fait d'habiter et donc d'être-là. La dimension labyrinthique de la maison hantée reflète le rapport entre la fragmentation de l'esprit et parallèlement de l'espace. Le concept freudien du Unheimlich (inquiétante étrangeté) sert de prisme théorique pour réfléchir à la hantise en tant que basculement entre le familier et l'étrange. La maison hantée est appréhendée comme un lieu liminal afin d'explorer la dialectique entre « espace noir » et « espace vide », d'où la trace émerge en tant que signe spectral.
