Objectif : Cette recherche qualitative réalisée en 2010 auprès d’infirmières visait à analyser le rôle de l’expérience vécue du temps d’accompagnement soignant (TAS), inclus dans le dispositif d’annonce en oncologie, afin d’appréhender la place qu’occupe la dimension psychologique dans ce dispositif. Elle avait également pour objectif d’interroger la manière dont les représentations des infirmières, concernant la prise en charge psychologique, sont en mesure de modeler la façon d’envisager les conduites appropriées (information/orientation) dans ce contexte. Méthodes : Nous avons réalisé des entretiens semi-directifs (n = 12) avec des infirmières intervenant au sein de ce dispositif dans différents établissements hospitaliers du sud de la France. Une analyse de contenu thématique a été effectuée sur les entretiens. Résultats : Les résultats soulignent que les infirmières se sont appropriées ce dispositif au regard des savoirs pratiques issus de leurs exercices quotidiens. Dans le cadre de cette consultation, l’accompagnement se centre essentiellement sur la prise en charge d’un traitement lourd, perçu du côté de l’objet traumatique qu’il faut border de signifiants. Conclusion : La réalisation du TAS est sous l’influence du cadre organisationnel, des interactions entre professionnels au sein de l’établissement et des fonctions et rôles perçus des infirmières. Le repérage des besoins psychiques est difficile à réaliser et nécessiterait une articulation interprofessionnelle difficile à mettre en œuvre au regard des moyens alloués à ce type de dispositif.
