Résumé 0

Although Charles de Bovelles’ treatises of 1511, including the Book of the Wise, do not mention metaphysics in their titles, his earlier writings of 1504 do explicitly concern themselves with metaphysical questions. Moreover, a clear continuity between these early concerns and the later texts can be discerned. In this connection, the French translations, with Latin texts, of Chapter 7 of the Metaphysical Introduction, and Chapter 5 of Opusculum communium ad metaphysicam spectantium, are presented here for the first time.
