Résumé 0

European rules on the secondment of workers between member states are once again a matter for debate. Cross-border secondments for temporary workers are one of the least familiar instances of this phenomenon. This article focuses on the flow of temporary workers on secondment from Luxemburg to the Lorraine region of France. Luxemburg offers temporary workers several advantages in terms of status. French residents are frequently seconded to France by agencies in Luxemburg, sometimes even close to their own homes. The regular, even routine, nature of such practices on either side of the border naturally raises questions about the national and European rules framing them.
