Résumé
Founded in 1895, the Société de sociologie de Paris (SSP) was one of the main organizations that René Worms established to foster the establishment of sociology in France. This article aims to sketch a preliminary picture of the main stages in the society’s history. It offers a glimpse of its birth, its composition, its activities and its end. In the appendix, a list of its members completes this overview.
