Résumé 0

Over the past twenty-five years, as journalism has evolved, news professionals have had to face up to changing practices. Today, media-information (the way it is shaped by the media) is combined with data-information (binary codification) within social networking sites. The main issue in this evolution is homophily, which stems from cybernetic logic. By going back to the founding figures of the information and communication sciences, such as Norbert Wiener for cybernetics, and Paul F. Lazarsfeld for homophily, we revisit the concept of information in the light of the new media ecosystem.
