What have become of the complete edition of Marx and Engels's works, which was to be published under the supervision of the Moscow and Berlin Institutes of Marxism-Leninism before the desintegration of the GDR and the USSR ? One could expect the worst. It was avoided. The IMES (the International Marx-Engels-Stiftung), a new international foundation, has now taken over. Jacques Grandjonc relates the story of this transfer and this change.
