Xavier Michel, « Quelle approche géographique de l'éducation à la santé dans l'enseignement de la géographie en France ? », HAL-SHS : géographie, ID : 10.3917/rdid1.030.0013
The paper identifies firstly a low presence of the geography of health in the French school geography curriculum in middle and high school. It also highlights a lack of development within all academic geography. Then we search for the implementation of health education within this teaching of geography. We hypothesize that this framework allow the teachers to develop academic freedom concerning the issues of health geography and health education. We partly verify this hypothesis, thorugh the analysis of an exploratory investigation with in-depth interviews, which reveals how the issues of health education become present in the geography class, and in return how school geography stimulates health education from geographical knowledge.
