Résumé En

The research potential of an laboratory gives a strategic character to the protection of the most sensitive scientific and technical assets. The security breaches can easily affect scientific or technological data as well as their scientific, technical or human potential. The laboratory often lives in a complex environment by the diversity of its guardianship and the diversification of its resources, while being confronted with an increasing scientific competition. Rules for the Protection of the Scientific and Technical Heritage of the Nation, edicted by the Government should be followed, but without hampering research, competitiveness, international exchanges and cooperation: an appropriate balance has to be found.
