Résumé En

Faced with the increase in global plastic consumption, which accentuates our dependence on fossil fuels and the amount of plastic waste, biosourced and biodegradable plastics, with the ability to be recycled, open up interesting alternatives. In a circular economy perspective, the management of the end of life of biosourced plastic is essential and is hampered by the lack of recycling channel. This problem could severely hinder the development of Polylactide (PLA), one of the most developed bio-sourced polymers. For this purpose, we studied the influenced of temperature and extrusion times and the impact of several thermomechanical cycles on the thermal, mechanicals properties and visual aspect of PLA, to evaluate its thermal degradation and have indicators to estimate its ability to undergo mechanical recycling. In addition, we considered technological, environmental and socio-economical aspects to estimate which perspectives for PLA recycling seems to be relevant.
