Lupicinio ÍÑIGUEZ-RUEDA et al., « Telecenters as Association Stations: The Role of Information and Communication Technologies in Migratory Processes », Migraciones Internacionales, ID : 10670/1.dacwbp
"The massive appearance of access points for both ict and conventional telephones in the past decade, aimed specifically at the immigrant population, although they are not the sole end users, justifies the consideration in this article of these new sociotechnical spaces as nodes for creating and maintaining diverse social networks, both national and transnational. For this purpose, we present a qualitative study using document gathering techniques and ethnographic techniques to account for these technological spaces. The results of the analysis offer a view of these telecenters as "association stations", their importance in transnational migrant experience and, lastly, their importance in relations and the achievement of integration."
