In 1989, Gary Gerstle—and his co-editor Steve Fraser—published The Rise and Fall of the New Deal Order, 1930-1980, a collection which remains invaluable for scholars of the New Deal and mid-twentieth century US politics (Gerstle and Fraser, 1989).
