"The aim of this study was to describe theprocess of Brief Supportive-Expressive Grouppsychotherapy provided to women with systemiclupus erythematosus (SLE) in the contextof a randomized clinical trial. A secondaryobjective was to contrast baseline characteristicsin patients whose psychological distressdecreased over time compared to thosewho remained distressed.Sixty-two women with SLE participated.Thirty-five reported clinically significant psychologicaldistress at study entry.
