This article presents some insights on the concept «Communitiesof Practice». This concept was first introduced in the businessadministration field but, taken to the social sciences research oneit can open up new opportunities of meaning and relevance. In thefirst part of the article, some methodological aspects are consideredtaking into account a current research project in which we have builtup a Community of Practice where the theoretical framework couldemerge. The second part, shows some insights on the «Communitiesof practice» concept, first by showing the genesis of the phenomenonin the interactions among the business administration field. Then,some of the singularities of the concept are presented taking it assomething beyond the techniques in a clear dialogue with the hermeneuticalphilosophy. Finally, as a conclusion, a path for the socialsciences research field using the Communities of Practice approachis proposed.

El artículo presenta algunos aportes a la constitución del con-cepto Comunidades de Práctica (cp), el cual-proveniente del campo empresarial-al trasladarse a la investigación social abre nuevos horizontes de sentido sobre sus posibilidades y pertinencia. En la primera parte se esbozan los elementos metodológicos que, desde una investigación en curso, permitieron constituir y fortalecer una cp desde donde emergieron rutas comprensivas para configurar un mar-co teórico sobre el concepto en cuestión. La segunda parte muestra ciertos elementos importantes que ayudan a construir un campo de compresión sobre las cp, primero mostrando la génesis reciente del fenómeno en las interacciones de la administración y los negocios; y, luego, se presentan las singularidades que aparecen al pensarse las cp, más allá de las técnicas en claro diálogo con la filosofía herme
