This theoretical reflection essay analyzes the paradigm of inclusive education in light of the existing results regarding the care of the population with disabilities in Mexico and other countries. Public and educational policies, professional training, as well as the educational attention of students with disabilities are recognized and discussed. There are points of convergence on specific advances in inclusive education and divergent results depending on the policies that each country has considered to address inclusion
