Develop a family envelope

Résumé 0

A family, whose case was presented by a colleague, had suffered a violent trauma whose effects remained frozen, despite therapies for each member of the family. On this basis, the author studies the effects of the family psychic body, both at the level of intersubjective links (texture, connection) and of its envelope. The particular quality of psychoanalytic listening to the family, the analysis of the countertransference, the attention paid to the archaic emergences that form the formal signifiers have allowed a common envelope to unfold, sheltering intersubjective links more marked by affectivity and better connected to each other, to overcome the toxicity of the phantom link that haunts the family. The author shows how psychoanalytic family therapy produced the start of a recovery of the dismembered “family psychic body”.
