In this article, the authors wish to discuss the power of one individual over another. Using examples from literature and art, they address the issue of fascination with the object, and evoke the question of transference in relation to the therapist’s ethics. Isn’t there a “complementary bilaterality” to the manipulation? The manipulator’s fantasy “fits” into that of the manipulated. This intersubjectivity is the basis for tacit consent, a kind of connivance between the manipulator’s aim and that of the manipulated.

En este artículo, los autores desean abordar la influencia de un individuo sobre otro. A partir de ejemplos tomados de la literatura y el arte, abordan la cuestión de la fascinación por el objeto y plantean la cuestión de la transferencia en relación con la ética del terapeuta. ¿No existe una “bilateralidad complementaria” en la manipulación? La fantasía del manipulador “encaja” en la del manipulado. Esta intersubjetividad será la base del consentimiento tácito, una especie de complicidad entre el objetivo del manipulador y el del manipulado.

Dans cet article, les auteurs souhaitent aborder l’emprise d’un individu sur un autre. À l’aide d’exemples empruntés à la littérature et à l’art, ils approchent la question de la fascination pour l’objet et évoquent la question du transfert en lien avec l’éthique du thérapeute. N’y a-t-il pas une « bilatéralité complémentaire » dans la manipulation ? Le fantasme du manipulateur vient « s’emboîter » dans celui du manipulé. Cette intersubjectivité va fonder le consentement tacite, une sorte de connivence entre la visée du manipulateur et celle du manipulé.
