Résumé
COP28 in Dubai set the objective of tripling renewable energy capacity by 2030. This is an ambitious target and will require huge investment. For the moment, fossil fuels still dominate, and their contribution to the energy mix is growing more quickly in Europe than in the United States or in developing countries. By creating new needs and new dependencies, the energy transition is adding to the complexity of the geopolitics of energy.
