Cet article est une présentation de l’Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico [Archive audiovisuelle du mouvement ouvrier et démocratique], située à Rome. Née en 1979, la Fondation AAMOD conserve aujourd’hui plusieurs centaines de films et d’archives papier qui retracent l’histoire des mouvements ouvriers et démocratiques du xxe siècle, en Italie comme ailleurs. Ses collections sont organisées en fonds distincts, correspondant chacun à un cinéaste ou à une société de production ayant confié à l’AAMOD ses films et documents au fil des années. Six fonds choisis, importants tant par leur histoire que par leur volume, et qui illustrent la diversité de sujets et de formats présents dans le catalogue de l’AAMOD, sont présentés dans l’article : trois « autochtones » – liés aux structures cinématographiques affiliées au Parti communiste italien (les fonds PCI, Unitelefilm et Cinegiornali liberi) – et trois « allochtones », associés à des maisons de production ou à des cinéastes indépendants du PCI (les fonds REIAC, Libero Bizzarri et Antonello Branca).
This article is a presentation of the Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico [Audiovisual Archive of the Labour and Democratic Movement], located in Rome. Founded in 1979, the AAMOD Foundation today preserves several hundred films and paper archives that retrace the history of the labour and democratic movements of the twentieth century, in Italy and elsewhere. Its collections are organized in separate sections, each corresponding to a filmmaker or a production company that has entrusted AAMOD with its films and documents over the years. Six selected collections, important both in their history and in their volume, and which illustrate the diversity of subjects and formats present in the AAMOD catalogue, are presented in this article: three ‘‘indigenous’’ collections, linked to cinema structures affiliated with the Italian Communist Party (the PCI, Unitelefilm, and Cinegiornali Liberi sections), and three ‘‘non-native’’ collections, associated with production houses or independent PCI filmmakers (the REIAC, Libero Bizzarri and Antonello Branca sections).
Questo articolo è una presentazione dell’Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico (Roma, Italia). Nata nel 1979, la Fondazione AAMOD conserva a tutt’oggi diverse centinaia di film e archivi cartacei che attraversano la storia del movimento operaio e democratico del XX secolo italiano e internazionale. I film e i documenti sono organizzati in fondi distinti, ciascuno corrispondente a un cineasta o a una società di produzione che nel tempo hanno affidato all’AAMOD i propri archivi. Nell’articolo sono presentati sei fondi, scelti per il loro valore storico e per la loro importanza in termini di ampiezza: tre ‘‘autoctoni’’ – legati alle strutture cinematografiche affiliate al Partito comunista italiano (i fondi PCI, Unitelefilm e Cinegiornali liberi) – e tre ‘‘alloctoni’’, associati a case di produzione o a cineasti indipendenti dal PCI (i fondi REIAC, Libero Bizzarri e Antonello Branca).
