L'explosion numérique du courant pentecôtiste en Amérique latine a donné lieu à des reformulations qui ont engendré des comportements liés au substrat culturel national dans lequel il venait s'insérer. Le Brésil a, dans ce domaine, fait montre d'une créativité particulière, avec de nombreuses dénominations, adaptées à la nouvelle donne mondialisante. Parmi celles-ci, l'Église universelle du Royaume de Dieu a fait un parcours remarquable qui l'a fait pénétrer, entre autres, en Europe où elle mène un prosélytisme actif qui s'adresse en priorité aux populations immigrées venues d'Afrique et des Caraïbes. L'analyse porte sur les adaptations des rituels de ce « néo- pentecôtisme » aux cultures d'origine des fidèles.

The « force of the Holy Spirit » in the service of globalization The numerical explosion of the Pentecostal current in Latin America has brought about reformulations inducing behavior related to the national and cultural fabric of its insertion. Brazil in this respect is particularly revealing of creativity given its numerous denominations tuned to new globalization determinants. Among these, the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God has followed a remarkable path leading to Europe, among other places, whereby it is actively involved in proselytizing and addressing mainly African and Caribbean immigrants. The analysis studies the ritual adaptations of what the author terms as a « Neo-Pentecostalism » to the original cultures of the faithful.
