Résumé 0

At a time when the rhetoric of the hyper-rationalization of professional practices has come to redefine social work, and even its language, the question of the relationship that professionals maintain with these words that make (and unmake) their profession absolutely deserves to be taken seriously. This is the whole purpose of this article, questioning the influence of Newspeak in social work in the field of special education. It looks at specialized educators—”passers-on of life”—caught between singular words carrying demands and desires and social discourses made up of orders and requirements; a polyglot at the crossroads of complex systems themselves in a constant search for balance, where illusions and realities are based, which the specialized educator must not be fooled by, in order to be able to bring out humanity
