Situated in the heart of Central Asia, the Fergana valley is shared among Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. Besides its particularly complex borders, the valley has also inherited an intricate hydraulic system from the Soviet era, creating a strong interdependence among states despite their independence more than thirty years ago. With the impact of climate change on water resources, the fragile balance of water management and distribution now seems to be undermined. By focusing on hydraulic infrastructure, such as reservoirs, this article aims to understand and analyse the contemporary modalities of power revolving around water management.

Située au coeur de l'Asie centrale, la vallée du Ferghana est partagée entre le Kirghizistan, l'Ouzbékistan et le Tadjikistan. Outre des frontières particulièrement complexes, la vallée a également hérité de l'époque soviétique d'un système hydraulique enchevêtré, créant une interdépendance forte entre États malgré leur indépendance il y a plus de trente ans. Avec l'impact du changement climatique sur la ressource hydraulique, le fragile équilibre de gestion et de partage de l'eau semble aujourd'hui mis à mal. A travers une focalisation sur les infrastructures hydrauliques, telles que les réservoirs, le présent article cherche à comprendre et analyser les modalités contemporaines de pouvoir autour de la gestion de « l'or bleu ».

Расположенная в самом сердце Центральной Азии, Ферганская долина разделена между Кыргызстаном, Узбекистаном и Таджикистаном. Помимо чрезвычайно сложных государственных границ, этот регион унаследовал от советского периода запутанную гидравлическую систему, создающую прочную взаимозависимость между государствами, несмотря на то, что они получили независимость более тридцати лет назад. В условиях воздействия изменения климата на водные ресурсы хрупкое равновесие в управлении и распределении воды оказывается под угрозой. Основываясь на анализе гидротехнической инфраструктуры, такой как водохранилища, эта статья стремится понять и проанализировать нынешние формы власти, связанные с управлением «голубым золотом».
