Résumé 0

A good proportion of the populist ambiance is fueled and amplified by the way the dominant mass-media currently stage our political debates. The author, who is both a professor in journalism and a senator, describes from within how certain dynamics in the circulation of information and attention structurally exclude the type of discourse which could counteract the discredit currently affecting the political spectacle.
