What does it mean to provide information today?

Résumé 0

The public health crisis has done much to lay bare the complexities of our relationship with the media. Our desire to know more is accompanied by a deepening mistrust of journalists. Some people have stopped following the news entirely; others have been taken in by conspiracy theories. Still others, faced with the 24-hour news cycle and social media, are threatened by “infobesity.” The time has come to reinvent how information is produced, basing it on two simple and sound professional criteria: curiosity and generosity. We also need to consider how useful the information we share actually is.
