Résumé 0

It is often said that employees find no meaning in the work that they do. Many would readily exchange their jobs and career paths for work which has meaning, but there are not many organisations which offer such opportunities. What would it be like if there were companies and managers who, rather than telling their employees how to do their work, were more concerned about why people work, and tried to invent a dream which they could share with their employees thereby giving their imagination free rein and encouraging initiative ? Such companies would be among the most profitable in their sector of activity for decades to come. Their employees would find meaning in their work and would be content. Is this a pipe-dream ? Not at all, according to Isaac Getz who found dozens of companies of all sizes and in all sectors of activity both in France and abroad, which often develop a model at the same time based on shared dreams and initiative.
