Résumé En

This paper summarises a PhD thesis dealing with pottery-making during the Late Bronze Age1. Investigating pottery is a promising approach with this in mind: it is material culture of the everyday, used from the house to funeral or ritual spheres. Surprisingly, little is known about ceramic production, techniques, tools andstructure. It is however indicative of social membership, as crafting a pot requires knowledge and skill. Anthropology of techniques, the chaîne opératoire approach in particular, sheds light on skill-transmission between members of a social community.
