Que devrions-nous entendre par agrégation en initiation chrétienne en contexte de post-chrétienté ?

Après une recherche sociologique et phénoménologique sur la transformation des processus d’identification et d’agrégation, on essaie d’offrir une herméneutique théologique de ce temps et de ces dynamiques. La question sur ce qu’il faut entendre par agrégation en régime de post-chrétienté, relu ici en termes d’exode de la chrétienté, est reformulée avant tout comme une interrogation de l‘Église sur elle-même, en accueillant le choix pertinent d’une symétrie de discernement entre Église et monde. À partir de cette réciprocité et de la mission comme clé herméneutique contraire à l’auto-préservation et principe de la « réforme », on tente de tracer le profil de l’Église comme rassemblement « en devenir » : fraternelle, hospitalière et en diaspora : capable de conjuguer attachement et liberté, experte à « engendrer et à laisser partir ». Dans cette perspective on essaie d’offrir quelques pistes pour une compréhension renouvelée de la finalité rassembleuse de l’initiation chrétienne en indiquant ce que cela entraîne comme changement de style pour les pratiques et pour les opérateurs pastoraux.

After having conducted sociological and phenomenological research into the transformation of the processes of identification and certification, we seek to offer a theological hermeneutic of our era and of these dynamics. The question of what is to be understood by ‘gathering’ in a post-Christian situation, reinterpreted here in light of a Christianity in exodus, is reformulated first and foremost as the Church’s questioning of itself, via the pertinent choice of a symmetry of discernment between the Church and the world. Starting from this reciprocity and from mission as a hermeneutical key that is the opposite of self-preservation and the principle of ‘reform’, we seek to trace the profile of the Church ‘as a gathering in the process of becoming’ : fraternal, hospitable and in diaspora, capable of combining attachment and freedom, expert in ‘engendering and letting go’. From this perspective, we try to offer a few pathways for a renewed understanding of the gathering purpose of Christian initiation, pointing to its consequences in terms of a change in style for practices and for pastoral workers.
