Certains travaux ont été consacrés à la géopolitique d’une langue (anglais, français, etc.). Il s’agit ici de la géopolitique d’un groupe de langues génétiquement liées, les langues romanes, répandues sur différents continents, dont certaines disposent de réseaux culturels importants et ont mis sur pied une coopération (les trois espaces linguistiques).

Where some studies have focused on the geopolitics of a specific language (English, French, etc.), this article is concerned with the geopolitics of a group of languages that are linked genetically : the Romance languages. Romance languages, have spread across different continents, and some of them possess significant cultural networks and have established forms of cooperation (the “three linguistic spaces” of the French-, Spanish- and Portuguese- speaking worlds).
