Shortly after their arrival in the mining country of Nord-Pas-de-Calais during the inter-war period, Polish migrants and their descendants invested in the Nordic football clubs, while some of them created their own clubs. After 1945, these clubs were re-formed and new ones appeared, mainly due to the influence of the communist regime in Poland. Until the 1960s, these clubs, located in the mining towns and cities where the Polish population was grouped together, maintained a communal interdependence alongside a neighbourhood-based operation and a popular sports culture. From this decade onwards, they gradually lost their Polish attributes and were deserted by their members who preferred French clubs. The origin of the few remaining Polish clubs remains only in the memory of certain individuals, both natives and descendants of migrants.

Peu de temps après leur arrivée dans le pays minier du Nord-Pas-de-Calais au cours de l’entre-deux-guerres, les migrants polonais, et leurs descendants, investissent les clubs de football nordistes, tandis qu’une partie d’entre eux créent leurs propres clubs. Après 1945, ces derniers se reforment et de nouveaux apparaissent, en lien notamment avec l’influence du régime communiste instauré en Pologne. Jusqu’aux années 1960, ces clubs, situés dans les communes et cités minières où la population polonaise est regroupée, entretiennent un entre-soi communautaire aux côtés d’un fonctionnement par quartier et d’une culture sportive populaire. À partir de cette décennie, ils perdent progressivement leurs attributs polonais et sont désertés par les membres qui privilégient les clubs français. L’origine des quelques clubs polonais qui persistent ne reste que dans la mémoire de certains individus, autochtones comme descendants de migrants.
