The military canteen of Paul Girot (1879-1951), chemist “aide-major” during the First World war – In 2018, the dotation funds of Conseil national de l’Ordre des pharmaciens received a military canteen having belonged to the chemist Paul Girot (1879-1951). This endowment was the occasion to explain the story of this chemist, first exposing his military activities and his involvement in the First World war ; second telling his work in pharmacy, then in the laboratory of Ernest Vaillant. Otherwise, a paper named “136e Régiment territorial d’Infanterie – way of educating for the week 16 to 22 august 1915”, stored in the canteen, is described.

En 2018, le fonds de dotation du Conseil national de l’Ordre des pharmaciens recevait une cantine militaire ayant appartenu au pharmacien Paul Girot (1879-1951). Cette dotation fut l’occasion de retracer le parcours de ce pharmacien, d’une part en exposant ses activités militaires dont sa participation à la Première Guerre mondiale ; d’autre part en rappelant qu’il exerça d’abord en officine, puis entra dans l’industrie pharmaceutique où il devint le bras droit d’Ernest Vaillant. Par ailleurs, un document manuscrit intitulé «136e Régiment territorial d’Infanterie -marche de l’instruction pour la semaine du 16 au 22 août 1915», présent dans la cantine de Paul Girot, est analysé.
