Les troubles oppositionnels avec provocation de l’enfant peuvent s’observer dès la crèche ou l’école maternelle. Ils nécessitent un traitement institutionnel et individuel pour éviter qu’ils ne se transforment plus tard en un trouble de la conduite irréversible. Quelques séances de la psychothérapie d’un enfant atteint de ce type de troubles sont rapportées entre 3 et 5 ans.

Oppositional and defiant disorder in the child can be observed as early as in the nursery or preschool. It requires institutional and individual treatment to prevent it from being transformed later on into an irreversible behavioural disorder. A number of sessions of the psychotherapy of a child affected by this type of disorder between the age of three and five have been reported.
