Suez a révélé les insuffisances françaises en termes de compétence à travailler en bilatéral, de planification interarmées, de capacités aéronavales et amphibies coordonnées. Le système D à la française n’a pas suffi à combler les lacunes structurelles, ayant entraîné de facto une tutelle britannique.

Suez has revealed the French insufficiencies in terms of competency working bilaterally, in the inter-army planning, and in the coordinated air-sea and amphibious capacities. Since the French “système D” was not enough to overcome the structural shortcomings, they have been guided under the de facto British supervision.
