Résumé 0

"This article aims to discuss the experienceof networks for the protection of people exposedto situations of violence or prevention networks. It is based on the concept created byCastells, who defines the information age. Thisstudy is part of the investigation “Successful experiencesin the prevention of violence”, carried outby the Latin-American Center for Studies on ViolenceJorge Careli/ENSP-IFF/Fiocruz, in cooperationwith the Secretariat for Health Survey of theMinistry of Health. The article analyzes the possibilitiesand limitations in the construction ofnetworks for the prevention of violence, seeking tounderstand the sense of actions and movementscarried out in networks. The method we used is acase study of two network initiatives in the Southernregion of the country. In terms of results, inface of the difficulties of working in networks, wefound it to be necessary: to break with sectorialand vertical actions; to promote constant communicationand interchange of information; to permanentlytrain the professionals and persons involvedin the network, incorporating them intothe protective and preventive actions; and to promotethe participation of wide social sectors. Inconclusion, one can affirm that the constructionof a protection network involves complex steps, looking to the same problem with new eyes and anew vision for planting solutions."
