La problématique de la toute-puissance est présentée à partir de l’observation clinique d’un enfant à comportement perturbant. Ses moments psychotiques, son évolution en psychodrame analytique collectif et individuel mettent aussi en exergue son besoin d’imposer son pouvoir sur l’autre. La théorisation de l’emprise (Bemächtigung) proposée par P. Denis pourrait éclaircir partiellement cette problématique. Le pouvoir et la toute-puissance demanderaient aussi le recours au narcissisme. Sa constitution, par la totalisation narcissique précoce, suppose un rapport particulier avec l’objet, qui conduit à l’hypothèse de la position totalitaire. Il serait question d’une gestion paradoxale de la toute-puissance dans la relation. Le sujet est encore dépendant de l’objet, mais ne l’investit que narcissiquement. Sa toute-puissance est une illusion entretenue par l’objet, sans lequel son unité interne s’effondrerait. La source de la toute-puissance c’est l’objet, mais en l’éprouvant lui-même, le sujet a l’impression d’un triomphe sur l’objet.

Therefore, the analysis concerns the early narcissistic totalling. The totalitarian position is hypothesised in order to characterise the peculiar object relationship when the totalling occurs. This position it is a way to manage the omnipotence. The subject is still dependent on the object, which is cathected only narcissistically. The subject’s omnipotence is nothing but an illusion maintained by the object, and supporting the internal cohesion. Therefore, the omnipotence is not possible without the object, but the subject experiences it as a triumph over the object.
