Art restorers aim to intervene in pictorial artworks to repair damages caused by time and other factors such as storage conditions, pollution, humidity, and light exposure. The objective is to maintain the integrity of the original work while preserving its authenticity as much as possible and/or restoring remarkable aesthetic quality. However, monitoring methods for artworks are generally qualitative assessments that only indicate which methods were used. To establish a more 'scientific' monitoring of the restoration process and to better prevent future interventions, parametric indicators could provide additional information.
