Résumé
This paper examines, through a large corpus of medical texts on organtransplants, the use of metaphors and their importance in written Arabic medicaldiscourse. It focuses on the most typical metaphors of this field in order toestablish a typology of the metaphorization process. It aims, thus, to explore themodalities for conceptualizing a scientific terminology in Arab societies.
