This article describes the main features of the Slovakia-Hungary relations during the Second World War. It pays particular attention to secret negotiations between Budapest and Bratislava in 1943, when the political leaderships of both countries discussed the possibility of breaking the alliance with Germany. The article is build upon the newest conclusions of the Hungarian and Slovak historiography, as well as the archive sources.
