Le drame de la « troisième guerre mondiale par morceaux » (pape François) met l’Église catholique face au défi de la paix et aux implications de celui-ci sur le rapport entre Église et Monde. De la fin de la deuxième guerre mondiale au concile Vatican II, l’étude veut analyser l’action d’un acteur politico-religieux sui generis comme l’Église catholique dans la construction du projet européen et sur la scène politique contemporaine

The tragedy of what Pope Francis has called the “Third World War fought piecemeal” has forced the Catholic Church to face the challenge of peace and its implications for how the Church relates to the world. Focusing on the period from the end of the Second World War to the Second Vatican Council, this study seeks to analyze the role of a sui generis political and religious actor such as the Catholic Church in the construction of the European project and on the contemporary political scene.
