Le manuscrit Paris, BnF, n.a.l. 181, recueil épistoilaire constitué dans le second quart du xiie siècle, contient également quelque 197 sentences théologiques dont 107 inédites. Le manuscrit renferme une des plus riches documentations laonnoises disponibles et fait connaître six nouvelles sentences d’Anselme de Laon. Instruments d’une réforme de l’Église et de l’individu, ces textes se caractérisent avant tout par leur brièveté et de leur esprit pratique.
The ms. Bibliothèque nationale de France, n.a.l. 181 is an epistolary collection assembled during the second quarter of the twelfth century, and which also contains some 197 theological « sentences », 107 of them unpublished. The manuscript presents one of the richest sources of material from the school of Laon known to us, and includes six new sentences by Anselm de Laon. Intended as the agents of reform for both Church and individual, these texts are characterized above all by their brevity and their practical spirit.

Il manoscritto trasmette una delle più ricche documentazioni conosciute, relative alla scuola di Laon e, in modo particolare, esso comprende sei nuove sentenze inedite di Anselmo di Laon. Strumenti della riforma della Chiesa e dell’individuo, questi testi sono caratterizzati, in primo luogo, da sintenticità e spirito pratico.
