Résumé 0

Relying on microeconomic data, we examine the impact of the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) control campaignson the educational attainment of primary school children in 14 Sub-Saharan African countries. Combining adifference-in-differences approach with an IV analysis, we exploit exogenous variation in pre-campaignmalaria prevalence and exogenous variation in exposure to the timing and disbursements of the RBMcampaign. In all 14 countries, the RBM campaign reveals itself as a particularly cost-effective strategy toimprove primary school children’s educational attainment.
