The author gives us some reflections which have been suggested to him by a work on the political vocabulary used by the delegates to the Congress of Tours of 1920 and which call into question the relations between the social structures and the linguistic structures conceived of a mechanistic way. The text we publish appeared in 1970 in the number 153 of La Pensée.
