Résumé
Bulgaria’s case is specific, because it is probably the European country, with Albania, that was least affected by Americanisation in the 20th Century. Why were the United States less influential there than in any other Balkanic countries? This paper seeks an answer in the economic and political relationship between the two countries and analyse the transfer of the most progressive American ideas in the economic sphere.
